Things to do

Aside from the picturesque bay and beaches there are a number of things to do in and around Akbuk so you can make your stay as relaxing or active as you like!

Boat trips from nearby Didim are very popular. Many different tour companies operate boat trips that visit various different bays and islands where passengers can jump off and have a bit of a swim/snorkel in the sea. Keen anglers can enjoy a day fishing from Akbuk harbour and catch some delicious Aegean sea bass for supper.

A number of companies offer diving trips to spectacular reefs and coves in the Didim area. Comprehensive courses are available for beginners and to those who would like to further develop their diving skills.
Boat trips

Daily tours to a number of world-famous sites of natural and archaeological interest can be taken from Akbuk. These include the remarkable Ephesus, Pamukkale, the Temple of Apollo and Lake Bafa. You can arrange to be picked up and returned to the complex. Ephesus



On a jeep safari you can spend an exciting day adventuring through forests, travelling mountain trails and see landscapes, nature and countryside that most don't get to see! Lunch is an opportunity to recharge the batteries before setting out to continue your adventure!

One of our favourite places to eat is The Garden Restaurant which sits overlooking the beach. It's laid-back friendly atmosphere is the perfect place to enjoy authentic local cuisine, the flavour of which is enhanced by the wood fired ovens and barbecue.

Shopping


There are a variety of small shops in Akbuk. Bread, fruit & vegetables are incredibly cheap. There is a local market every Friday, where you can buy freshly caught fish, vegetables, spices and clothing. There are also a couple of supermarkets providing a wider range of goods.

Location


Akbuk is situated on the Aegean coast just 20 minutes from the lively resort of Altinkum, around 50 minutes from Bodrum airport and approximatley 1hr 45m from Izmir airport.
