The beautiful town of Akbuk sits nestled between the crystal clear waters of the Aegean sea and spectacular protected mountain forests and olive groves. The idyllic scenery, breathtaking sunsets and quiet beaches make Akbuk the perfect place to relax and unwind. Historically a small fishing village supplying delicious Aegean Sea Bass, Akbuk has now been discovered by tourists attracted by it's unique blend of nature and history. Akbuk's idyllic natural beauty is subject to strict preservation orders, a protection not afforded to other bigger, less exclusive resorts. The harbour is peaceful, even in summer, and has been awarded the internationally-recognised Blue Flag award for cleanliness.
Aside from the picturesque bay and beaches there are a number of things to do in and around Akbuk so you can make your stay as relaxing or active as you like!

Boat trips from nearby Didim are very popular. Many different tour companies operate boat trips that visit various different bays and islands where passengers can jump off and have a bit of a swim/snorkel in the sea. Keen anglers can enjoy a day fishing from Akbuk harbour and catch some delicious Aegean sea bass for supper. A number of companies offer diving trips to spectacular reefs and coves in the Didim area. Comprehensive courses are available for beginners and to those who would like to further develop their diving skills. |

There is a wide range of restaurants, bars and cafes where you can relax and take in the beautiful views.
One of our favourite places to eat is The Garden Restaurant which sits overlooking the beach. It's laid-back friendly atmosphere is the perfect place to enjoy authentic local cuisine, the flavour of which is enhanced by the wood fired ovens and barbecue. |
